ABOUT YOUR TEACHER
SOPHIE BOWLES
200 hours yoga training programme: Hatha, Flow & Ashtanga.

Sophie is a seasoned runner, her favourite distance race is a half marathon, however she has experience running marathons and ultras too. She is a community leader of PureSport East, a large running club which runs twice a week from London Fields, and hosts her own run club NARC (Not Another Run Club) on the last Sunday of every month in Wapping. She also runs track with the Victoria Park Harriers every Tuesday.
Sophie has turned to yoga after a number of pretty serious injuries, to maintain mental and physical fitness, whilst not being able to run. She decided to train as a yoga teacher at an Ashram in India, to not only develop her own practice but with the intention of helping other runners improve their mobility, flexibility, strength, and even breathing technique - but also help runners work on slowing down, which we know how hard that can be!
