Led by shoulder specialist physiotherapist Nathan Choi, you’ll be matched to a physio with a special interest in shoulder conditions.  We’ll diagnose what’s driving your pain and build a phased plan to get you lifting, reaching and training again. When needed, we coordinate care with our trusted network of shoulder consultants and surgeons, and work closely with our in-house osteopaths and soft-tissue therapists.

Your assessment pathway

Once you contact us, we will book you for an  initial consultationt that will include an initial assessment and diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan according to your own rehab goals.

  1. History & testing – movement, strength, and shoulder-specific special tests

  2. Clear diagnosis & plan – we explain the likely driver(s) and expected timeline

  3. Early relief – load management, analgesia guidance, manual techniques if indicated

  4. Rehab progression – range → strength → control → return-to-work/sport

  5. Review & progressions – objective re-testing to track change

Imaging & onward referral: Where appropriate, we can refer for scans and liaise with your GP/consultant.

Treatments we use

  • Individualised exercise rehabilitation (home & gym progressions)

  • Education & load management tailored to your life/sport

  • Manual therapy / joint techniques where helpful for short-term relief

  • Shockwave therapy for selected tendon conditions (if clinically appropriate)

  • Sports-specific return-to-play testing and programming

  • Coordination with S&C, osteopathy and dietetics where relevant

FAQs

How quickly will I feel better?

Most people notice meaningful change in 2–4 weeks with a consistent plan; timelines vary by diagnosis and training load.

Do I need a scan first?

Usually not. A physical assessment is the best starting point. We’ll advise on imaging only if it’s likely to change your management.

Can I keep training?

Often yes — we’ll modify volume, intensity or exercises so you keep momentum while symptoms settle.

Do you treat frozen shoulder?

Yes. We stage treatment to your phase (pain-dominant vs stiffness-dominant) and coordinate care if injections or other adjuncts are considered.

I’ve dislocated my shoulder, can you help?

Yes. We guide you through stability and control work, and advise on return-to-contact/overhead sport. Surgical opinions are organised if needed.

Do you follow post-op protocols?

Yes. We’ll coordinate with your surgeon’s plan and timelines. We have also developed our own specialist evidence-based protocols for complex conditions or when post-op protocols are not provided by the surgical team.

Is this covered by my insurer?

We work with all major insurers. Check your policy and bring your authorisation code. Visit our Insurance Guide page if you are unsure.
