VIDEO & OUTDOOR
PHYSIO APPOINTMENTS
If you can't make it to our clinic, or if you need to socially-distance, our video & outdoor consultations can help.
COVID-19 & PHYSIOTHERAPY
Covid-19 is changing the way clinics and studios are operating with many consultations being moved online. At LDN PHYSIO we have the systems in place to seamlessly and safely provide online sessions to our patients and clients.
Our Telehealth video service allows you to interact live with your therapist from the comfort and safety of your own home so they can assess, diagnose and advise you on how to manage your symptoms, including demonstrating exercises as needed. We're also able to tailor and update your treatment and any rehab / training programme via our exercise app.
As part of our remote plans, we also offer ad-hoc socially-distanced outdoor physio sessions for those of you who live in East London at no extra cost. This is great if you need your therapist to check your technique, help you progress and perform the exercises with you.
VIDEO (TELEHEALTH) PHYSIO PLANS
You can find below our different Telehealth plans. Choose the plan that best suits your injury and/or rehab goals. Don't hesitate to email us should you have any questions.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A TELEHEALTH SESSION?
Once we receive your booking, one of our therapists will contact you right away with all the necessary details for your session.
1. INITIAL ASSESSMENT
You will be guided through a series of intuitive online questions that will help you share all of the relevant injury information that your physiotherapist will need. Your physio will then ask you further questions on video as needed.

2. PHYSICAL ASSESSMENT
Once your physiotherapist has assessed your answers, you will be directed to an online portal with some movement tests to perform. You are in complete control and don’t have to do anything you are not comfortable doing. Perform the tests when and where it suits you, and submit your findings.

3. DIAGNOSIS & REHAB PLAN
By now your physiotherapist has arrived at your likely diagnosis and have a plan on how to get you better. This is then clearly explained to you in your video call, or if you prefer, in a video/audio format that you can watch (and rewatch) in your own time.

4. REHAB PROGRAMME
Your rehabilitation or training programme will be sent to you via our free exercise app (and can be accessed via laptop, tablet, smartwatch or printed out too). The app will allow you to set reminders to exercise, rate your pain each day and log your progress.

5. FOLLOW-UP SESSIONS
You continue to communicate with your physiotherapist via secure messaging in the rehabilitation app 24/7. Your therapist will work with you over the designated time period to progress your program and achieve your goals, and you can decide together on setting up further video sessions.

Frequently asked questions
Is my injury suitable for Telehealth?
The majority of Musculoskeletal Injuries are suitable for online Physiotherapy consultation, but if we determine that your injury or situation is not at all suitable for an online consultation by a Physiotherapist, we will let you know, and refund the cost of the consultation.
If you are unsure whether your injury is suitable for a consultation or not, send us an email!
Do I need a GP or consultant referral?
No, just like standard Physiotherapy sessions, you can self-refer to our Telehealth service.
Will my physio tell me should I be referred for face-to-face physiotherapy or to another health professional?
Absolutely. While there are many injuries that can be managed via online Physiotherapy consultation, some conditions do require 'hands on' assessment and treatment. All our Physiotherapists have been working for several years in NHS and private practice and are skilled at detecting when an injury requires face to face investigation.
Is it safe to come for a face-to-face during the Corona virus outbreak?
The health and wellbeing of our patients and staff is our absolute priority during the current outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). For this reason we are currently closed to face-to-face appointments. This will be reviewed daily and we will let you know as soon as we re-open the clinic.
How does Telehealth assessment work if you can't see me face-to-face?
How do Telehealth treatment / follow-up sessions work?
Can my healthcare insurance cover for the session?

STILL NOT SURE?
We are truly living in unprecedented times. The coronavirus pandemic is impacting everyone, financially too. We want to make sure we do our bit to help our patients where possible. If we or you don’t think your injury is suitable for online Physiotherapy after your first session, we will immediately refund you 100% of the consultation fee.
